Originally hailing from Florence, SC, Timmons Pettigrew moved to Charleston in the year 2000 to attend The College of Charleston and was quickly swept off his feet by the city. After attaining degrees in Economics and Corporate Communication, he spent a short stint in Columbia earning a Master’s degree in Economics from The University of South Carolina. He immediately returned to Charleston, rejoining his future wife in the city they love.
In 2005, Timmons began a career in industrial distribution pricing strategy. Over the course of eleven years, he moved from Analyst to Senior Manager with a billion-plus-dollar national distributor. While pricing strategy remained his core focus, Timmons also worked in data analysis and reporting, project management, contract compliance and auditing, proposals, database administration, e-commerce, Lean/Six-Sigma, and other functional areas. He managed various teams of 15+ professional analysts and supervisors, and received the President’s Award in 2014.
Alongside his professional life, Timmons is has been active in the Charleston beer scene since 2009 as a published author, freelance writer and speaker, co-founder of CHS.Beer, and co-organizer of Charleston Beer Week.
Timmons resides in West Ashley with his wife, Summer, his son, Avery, and two small, furry beasts.
