Three Charleston seafood dishes beyond the Ordinary

I am sure I’m not the only one. If you live in Charleston, it’s a matter of time before someone asks you, “Where is the best restaurant for seafood in town?”

And many of us — myself included — will answer “The Ordinary,” that temple of seafood in a former Bank of America building that Executive Chef Mike Lata and Chef de Cuisine Carlton “Vandy” Vanderwarker keep running, well, like a tight ship. The menu is always ultra fresh, seasonal, often whimsical, filled with impeccable seafood selections, and reliable. So it’s hard to go wrong on recommending this restaurant.
