Modern American Pilsner
We at EOBC and our friends at Zillicoah Beer Company decided to explore a style of beer that stems from the heart of the American brewing tradition – a Pilsner-like lager brought here by our immigrant ancestors but morphed and changed over the decades to reflect the ingredients and brewing processes that we now call our own.
Brewed with malt from the North Carolina craft-maltster Epiphany, yeast from a defunct Philadelphian lager brewery, and the (in)famous Cluster hops, American Life is a golden, refreshing lager with notes of whole grain bread, banana nougat, and a kiss of citrus and flowers.
