Philosophically Speaking

After much heated debate with our good friend Nate Darnell of Uproot Brewing Company, we decided to delve into the epistemological waters of beer styles and came up with a vision that skirts the fringes of what is good and decent. Before asking if we should, we designed a rich and decadent barley wine, fermented it with a mix of our house and favorite monastic yeasts, and blended it with a touch of bourbon barrel-aged Sour Cherry.

The result is a wild ride of flavors, ranging from street vendor toffee, cherry drop candies, and Chinese Five Spice. While we cannot justify this beer morally, we do believe this to be a fascinating expression of what can happen when brewing minds collide.
