Here is yet another wine we have long coveted for our shelves, and this year our wish was granted! Domaine Simon Bize is standout when it comes to Burgundy with an undeniable purity. The Savigny domaine was under the direction of Patrick Bize for 20 years when sadly, during the harvest of 2013 he unexpectedly passed away.Thankfully, his wife Chisa Bize, had long been quietly involved, encouraging Patrick to move in the direction of organic and biodynamic farming. Today Chisa and Patrick’s sister have continued the Bize legacy. The reds in particular are known for their unadulterated loveliness (seeing little new oak) and utilizing some whole clusters for intoxicating aromatics. We are honored to have the Savigny Blanc and Rouge (both $66) alongside some more site specific offerings: Aux Grands Liards ($79) and Les Fournaux ($114). All from the 2018 vintage.
