Pierre Gerbais Champagne

Grower Champagne Pierre Gerbais

Special note from Sarah: If I could be so boujee as to have a “house Champagne” this would be it. At $49 for the 750ml bottle and $30 for the 375ml bottle it’s genuinely a DEAL in the world of grower Champagne. Plus, it is just addictively good. Add in a great story and you will understand why you should buy up as much as possible while we have it…email [email protected] to reserve yours.

And here’s that compelling story straight  from their importer:

“Pierre Gerbais is a fourth generation domaine in the Aube. It is spearheaded today by the 20-something Aurélien Gerbais, a handsome-nerdy-hipster winemaker who is unnervingly self-assured for his age, yet soft-spoken and humble. At Gerbais, there are old vines, organic vineyard management, intelligence, respect, passion, relevance, training and drive enough to take this house to the very top of a small band of visionary champagne makers in the Aube who include Aurélien’s friend and neighbor Cédric Bouchard, and the small houses of Marie Courtin, Jacques Lassaigne, Ulysse Collin, Horiot, Vouette et Sorbée, etc.

The Grains de Celles is a  blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Blanc. I swear it’s that touch of Pinot Blanc that makes it magical!

P.S. We might have to open a couple of bottles for this week’s Friday Jazz!
